Shifting without clutch
Hey guys, I've read before about shifting without the clutch and it working out well, anyways, I have an 04 RA and today I felt noble and tried it. It worked well, only between 2k-2.5k with no grinding, but my head still tells me it isn't good lol. So opinions???
Wouldn't recommend it. You'll damage your shift forks (I think that is what they are called), which would eventually cause you to either miss a lot of shifts or just not get into gear.
I say if you are good at it, then go for it. My dad has done it in virtually every car I've been in with him that is a manual. Even mine which he has driven only a couple times. I have tried it, but I just can't do it. So I don't do it haha.
yes it works
no its not a good idea
this concept stems from transmissions from the old days that did not have synchros in them, yours does, or used to if youve been practicing much of this. Keep this up and you will be forced to master rev matched shifting, even when you dont want or arent in the mood for it.

The only time you should be driving without using the clutch is when you're clutch has failed in some way and you're limping the car home. You ARE doing damage despite what people with anecdotal evidence say.
