Sorry just had to throw this out there, but I finally own my car after a 3 year loan Now I can finally save up for some of the more expensive things, such as maybe a turbo

Oh and picking up a 2005 Galant with the 2.4 today also for the wife!

You'll get there! My loan was for 4 years but I paid an extra $30 a month just to get it dropped down to 3 years

Did you recently get yours? How much did you pay? Back about 3 years I paid 10K, I looked on KBB and it only goes for like 7 or something now...and back 3 years on KBB it was actually going for 13K.

congrats man, feels good doesn't it...i technically own mine now too, but it's a long story...here it is...

lol, i had my house appraised and found out it was worth about $35k more than i paid for it, and i've already paid about 15k off the original loan, so i refinanced my mortgage and paid off all my credit cards and my car loan in one shot, so technically i own my car too, but not the house, lol...the cool thing is, i increased my mortgage payment by half of what my monthly car payment was, so the house will still be paid off by the same time as it would have been originally, so i save and extra $125 a month, and i still haven't touched the $35k extra that the house is worth...

Cranswick, took me a couple reads to understand what you were saying haha. But I got it. Sounds awesome, we actually just got out of all our debt too. Long story short:
Wife had a 2003 Mustang bought for 5K
Someone traded their 2002 BMW X5 for the stang
Sold the X5 for 7.5K
Paid everything off and just bought this Galant for 4K

So now all we have are my school loans, once I'm done with school.

Lanzer, Hopefully my wife likes it. Had to call off work to get it today, so she wasn't able to physically see it. She had a 97 Galant which she loved. Oh and the Galant came with an extra set of rims 18's currently on it, which are from a Mazda haha.

Yeah mine currently has the es oem hub caps on 16" steelies. I'm looking for a decent set of takeoffs from an Evo , or gts, eclipse, etc. As it's her car not mine oem takeoff are all I'm willing to get her ATM lol , she wants the works swaybar and a SRI. She loves the throaty intake sound.

Checkout thegalantcenter.org it's no Evom but it's better than nothing. Alot of parts from the 2006-2010 eclipse are interchangeable.

Post up some pics, what color is it?

haha awesome! I wonder if the SRI from my car would work in the galant? It is the same engine...I was thinking I could get myself a cold air and throw the SRI into the galant

Also I'll go check those guys out over there, oh and the car is silver, actually has a new coat of paint because the guy didn't wash/wax the car apparently ever. I find it weird if you are the original owner of a car, and spend like however much they were in 05 that you wouldn't take care of the car

Death, how is the V6 engine? I found a Galant with the V6, but apparently it wouldn't turn over and the guy wasn't sure what was wrong. It was cheap like 2K for an 06, but I didn't want to take a gamble if the timing belt went and the engine was messed up inside.

I'm jealous. I still owe $6500 on my RA... I'd like to sell it for around that much and go find a truck. But we all know it'll be hard to find a buyer at that price for my car.

when you say turn over, do you mean start, or it doesn't even crank...could just be the starter...

haha he wasn't even sure, he seemed a little sketchy anyways. But It was 2 hours away to even look at it...It had 115,000 miles on it, so I figured if the belt was never changed it could have been the issue. A lot of people have no idea what that belt is...
