I had the dealer check it out when i had them replace the bearings on the timing chain tensioner. They said that it is related to the stiffer suspension and that it will creak when it is closed. That sucks, but my stereo will drown it out if the sunroof is closed. Oh well that's life

Thats horse ****. Put vasoline all around the seal to the sunroof, it's just that it's a bit of a tight fit. Better than it loose and leaking I suppose.

My RA does that sometimes when I back off our driveway. It's either the door frames or the sunroof. But it only happens after backing off our driveway and only sometimes. True about the cars with stiff springs. My sister's RSX makes the same noises when backing off our driveway. I think it is fairly normal.

Mine does the creaking popping every morning backing out of the driveway it has a lot to do with the front strut bar and it's three mounting points.

It's very simple: it has to do with the sunroof seal binding against the cavity it rests in. It simply is a tight fit. The body and roof flexing while traversing various surface angles makes the tightly bound seal rub against the cavity walls, and it makes the squeeking/popping sound. The ROOT PROBLEM is the seal binding, and the side affect is that it makes noise when normal flexing occurs. The cause isn't stiff suspension, etc. The stiff suspension just shows the problem more.

JUST PUT VASELINE ON THE SEAL ONCE IN A WHILE
