Sickspeed 175g shift knob

Ive always thought the stock shift knob was practically weightless especially compared to an 88 Conquest that i used to own, that thing had a wrecking ball for a stock shift knob!

After some research i decided that i wanted a ball type shift knob around 6oz and discovered Sickspeed's 175g (6.2oz) aluminum shift knobs on ebay for around $25 shipped and figured i'd give them a try.

The ball was shipped in a nice little padded box with a reducer and jam nut.

Installation was as easy as unscrewing the stock knob, screwing on the reducer and screwing the new ball onto that. I didnt even need to use the jam nut because the ball doesnt have a shift pattern and all its used for it to align the pattern.

The new ball being made of aluminum does get extremely cold in the winter but feels great shifting and fits right down to the boot making it slightly lower than the stock knob.

That's pretty darn nice.
I have the oem upgraded shifter knob, also aluminum.
You are right it gets chilly in the winter, hopefully don't burn in the summer.
My shifter knob was $250, so you got a nice shifter.

Nice, I have the blox 490le neo (490grams) you should look into the solid underhood and shifter base bushings all together the feel is night and day.

looks good man. but can i just ask that you just make a whole s&s thread and combine all the things that you would like to showcase instead of making thread after thread?
