Simple. They hate us. JK. Look at it this way - it's like the Camaro. Gen One only lasted three years and then they completely screwed up... er, changed, the body. Maybe the sweet engine is to get people to buy the ugly new body.

What did Mitsubishi do, make a Sunfire (front) look-alike? When I first saw the pics (not from this forums) I thought that I was looking at the front of the current or maybe next year's Pontiac Sunfire. The rear deck lid looks like a Civic with spoiler, unless Civic owners are the ones trying to mimic the new Lancer Ralliart model. It is bad enough that Pontiac Grand Prix are using the Lancer as an Intro-car-to-be-ridiculed as part of their TV add, but for Mitsubishi to build a car that closely resembles the Sunfire is way beyond me. And I hope that those "new look" headlights are HIDs or they would just add to the Sunfire look. The rest of the package seems OK but overall first impression is .

 

make it a little lower and put some nice wheels i voted it's grown on me

 

I like it. It was only ok with the silver paint it was debuted in, but now that I've seen yellow and white, I gotta say that I honestly like it.

 

the new 2004 lancer is a bit very disappointing. the only thing that ruin it for me is the front end of the car everything else is ok. i was very exstatic when the lancer from japan came stateside and finally brought the evo. im glad i got my oz and my 2001 lancer in the philippines.

 

the lancer is ok. not too ugly, not too nice either. i like the power it delivers. i kinda like it too coz it is lower than our oz. for the ralliart, i like the white best among the others

 

i got a new lancer rally art 2004 is yellow, i arady instaled a evo VIII wing and i did turbocharged i did race with evo and is a lot faster i am roning only 14 psi of boost i use a GARRETT GT 28 TURBO, I WICH TO PUT SOME PHOTOS BUT I DONT NOW HOW TO DO IT. turbo tech ,puerto rico.

 

ok take some pictures, upload them from camera to computer, then when you are ready, come here, click the button that says REPLY TO POST (it is gray button, at the bottom right of the thread) then once there scroll down to where it says ATTACH PICTURE then hit BROWSE and find the picture, then just hit POST REPLY or whatever. looks like a accord from the side i dunno jus looks like a mooshed up accord and civic doesnt even look like a lancer anymore

 

one word is ugly... the whole front is ugly.. the whole back is ugly. side is ok cause its liek ours.. Oh and BTW the evo's front is ugly. EVO 7 all the way should have sold that here...may have robbed a bank for that F the EVO 8. stupid *** mitsu designers. Oh and i saw that someone said the those head lights are in..well from the responces here they shouldnt be.. like maybe 2% of people like them

 

I cahnged my mind...I origionally thought it looked like an OZ Lancer with a Galant rear and a Pontiac sunfire front...but with the new angles and photos, I am convinced it looks like a bottom end Nissan Sentra with a pontiac front end...
