Getting Evo tomorrow.
What do you mean? It looks like an 05 Evo Dash to me.

05's had ACD's that's why Tarmac snow gravel is there. And as far as what was wrong with it, I kind of dont want to say, it was a friend of mine's friend who was selling it and I didn't want to tarnish his name or anything although he has nothing to do with it. He was just informing me it was for sale. If that makes sense. It's cool though, no hard feelings. Sunday I'll be checking out two other built Evos. Odds of both being bad are low so who knows?
Sadly Evos are becoming more and more like the DSM world. It seems like every Evo I look at has warning lights ablaze but is just a $50 dollar part away from running perfect according to the seller. "Then why don't you just spend $50 to fix it yourself?" is my response. "Oh it never bothered me".
All I can say when shopping for a used performance car ESPECIALLY TURBO CARS!!!! is Buyer Beware. Don't trust anything the seller tells you unless they have the receipts and proof to back it up.

I'm thinking I made the right choice as well. Also I know him through a mutual friend, and there were things that bothered me. Tranny was hard to shift. Couldn't get it into first on more than 4 occasions at a stand still. And other gears as well while driving Normal and at WOT. Also, with the clutch pushed in, my tuner would rev the motor and around the top end of the RPMS, the car would literally jerk back and forward as if something was wrong with the clutch, keep in mind the clutch was being pushed in meanwhile. I was told the tune would fix it by my friend, who I fully trust, but it just seemed weird, as well as the slave cylinder adjustment rod being literally to the last thread. But I'll stop here, I don't want to down talk his car, I'd like to give him an equal chance at someone else buying it. Maybe I was just too nervous.

There are no "friends" in business. They are hiding stuff from you - its been thrashed and never maintained correctly or built correctly. Seriously, offer him $5k. For sure you'll be spending $10k replacing parts/sorting out/garage time/tuning/ trouble shooting.
