Hid's or not

Should I put hid's in my factory housing and what are the brightest halogen bulbs you can get?

get a headlight lens repair kit, make sure they are crystal clear, and get a pair of GE Nighthawk Sport, and people will flash their hi-beams at you...

I think there may even be high intensity LED lamps that replace the stock halogens...but the GE Nighthawks are super bright...

I found those ge nighthawks now make a platinum series. I know also that PIAA makes bulbs to, know anything about them.

Is true that the light won't reflect right if you put hids in factory housing..must have projectors right.

If you put HIDs in factory halogen housing it won't reflect the light properly in any one direction, so glare is everywhere and other drivers will hate you.

edit: I do recommend the GE Nighthawk Sport's that Cranswick suggested. I was running some crappy blue Nokya bulbs, then I switched to the Sports and it's awesome.

Yea HIDs should not be put in reflective housings. First they dont shine properly, second you wont be able to see (well you might in a car, my buddy put HIDs in reflective housings on his truck and he couldnt see crap), and third other drivers will hate you because of the intense rays not being focused properly. Actually there is a thread on why to not put HIDs in Halogen housings right HERE.

Bottom line. If you want HIDs get headlights with projectors.

Otherwise stick with what Crans said. I ran both Sylvania SilverStar Ultra and zXe's before I got my halo headlamps. And they were great in my mind.

Or you could get aftermarket headlights with projectors in and run a 35watt hid in it. That's what I did back in the day.
