On a side note. I worked on an OZ-Rally today. Changed the oil and filter, spark plugs, air filter, and belts. Really made me appreciate the design of the 4g69's belt layout. Lol
tell me about it...I hated replacing accessories (power steering, alternator) on my ES. Though the timing belt is much more simple to replace

Yea it was a pain. The design is horrible. The powersteering and AC wasn't so bad. But the bolt to loosen the idler pulley is hard to get a socket wrench on. But the alternator is dumb. Loosen bolt on the bottom, loosen the clamping part on top, then turn the positioning bolt. All for that tiny belt...

Looked at the laser. Might post the pics in somewhere later. Had a few issues... lol

Alright here is the Laser I went to look at this weekend. I made an album for those that want to look. Seller is asking $1600 OBO. It will need quite a bit of work it appears. It doesnt run, and its not in very good condition. The best looking part in the whole car was the 90's red seats looked to be in decent shape... lol I'll let the pictures do the talking but Im thinking it would only be worth it if he would sell it for MUCH cheaper... :/

oh wow...looks like it sat for quite some time...that would be a strip and restore if you wanted it to be clean. I'd pay $600

Yea its pretty worn... Im debating if it would even be worth making an offer on it... Its obviously been ran hard, and pretty much left for dead by the seller. Makes me wonder how many unseen problems it really has.

$1600 is way overpriced. I'd keep looking. You should be able to find a much cleaner DSM for that money.

Well yea I know 1600 is over priced. But his ad says OBO. And its been on craigslist for a while so Im wondering if 5-600 would be worth it, if he would take that offer.

And I would really like to RallyX so i'm not really looking for a mint DSM of any kind. Just something I can get running for pretty cheap lol.

EDIT:: Might have to scrap the idea of the laser. I found a talon that is for sale for only $1000. he says the turbo has bad seals. Im waiting on him to message me back.

I bought a DSM last year and then sold it a month later. Luckily I made about $500. Mine was extremely clean but even then it was still a DSM meaning that no two bolts were the same anywhere.

Convinced myself to stop looking for other cars for the moment and just fix the ones I have for now. Once I get married later this year and Im not paying for my house all by myself I'll be able to save up money for projects much faster. :]

I hate stick-on hood scoops, lol...at least an Evo style hood is true to the lancer name...those hood scoops I've seen on far too many Pontiac sunfires, and a lancer doesn't make it any better...

it is super clean though.
