Loud engine sound after turning car off

First of all, I have a second hand 2005 RA. Each time I turn my vehicle off and get out I can hear a loud fan/engine sound. Is this normal? My vehicle has 102,000 km on it and I'm not sure if this is related or not however I have not had the timing belt changed yet..

Would really appreciate any input anyone has, thank you in advance!

Sounds like your fan controller has died. Plenty of posts about it in here, I would link them but I'm on my phone.

Will be your fan control module box. The one on the righy hand side of your car. In the engie bay right near your right hand side engine fan. Has one plug going in the bottom of the box and one in the side.
