Evo steering wheel in Ralliart help

So I recently bought a 2006 Ralliart. It has the Evo 8 Momo steering wheel, and it has the airbag as well. The problem is that the horn, when I push on the steering wheel, doesn't work, although the horn itself works as I tested it by attaching it directly to the battery. I removed the airbag to take a look inside and it seems like there is a wire missing of some sort. There's the yellow airbag connector (which is connected), then there is a black connector which is not attached to anything. There is also an SRS light on. This is as far as I have gotten. Any help or ideas on what this could be? Thanks.

Any chance you could get us a picture of what your looking at? I'm trying to look through my service manual to find the answer for you but having an actual visual helps.

If I'm looking at the right stuff the SRS wire should be yellow and the horn should be grey. But I'm not 100% certain on that.

the airbag might not be working, so you should definately get it resolved soon, around here, it would not pass safety, which you need to transfer ownership, and temporary permits are limited...i haven't had any experience with the steering wheel and SRS system, i will look over the diagrams, but i'll have to find a CT9A wiring diagram, to compare. Pretty sure mitsubishi would not appreciate the modification. Perhaps the battery was left connected during the swap, or the airbag is not compatible, or incorrectly wired (during installation). how many "clicks on the clock"? i don't know what mitsubishi would do about it if it's within the warranty, if you have a lot of mods, but my guess is they could fix it by replacing the wheel with a stock one, resetting the SRS computer, and take at least 4 hours to do it, lol.

Here's a few pictures. The black connector is just sitting there not attached to anything. I have verified that it is the horn connector, as I connected it directly to the battery using a wire and the horn sounded.

Where I live there's no need for the inspection to sell the car. It's up to the buyer's discretion if they want to get it inspected. That's not to say that I don't want to resolve this issue though. The problem seems to arise from the fact that it's not the stock steering wheel. I might be heading over to my local pick n pull and just grabbing a stock wheel, but I would really prefer to keep the Evo one. I don't have too many mods at all. I have aftermarket headers, a CAI and magnaflow exhaust. I called the dealership today and they just wanted to rush me into the shop, so I told them to hold on so I could call around. I am able to reset the SRS light myself, as I know a friend who has a small dealership. I'll get it reset after I finish tinkering with the system in case I throw another SRS light.

for the horn, i think G-R might be green with red stripe. from the clock spring to the loose connector should be red, but who knows...has anyone done this swap without killing the SRS system?

Pictures should show wire colours as well, makes it much easier to identify. there should be a connector for the horn from the clock spring. The end you shorted to the battery should be the ground wire for the horn relay. make sure you disconnect your negative battery terminal any time you're unplugging or plugging in connectors. Interestingly, there are OEM adapter harnesses...hmm..not sure what they do, but you definately ned to find out where the connector from the clock spring to the horn relay is...it should be red wire on both ends of the connector...unless the clock spring was swapped as well. not even sure if that possible.

Here are the comparison diagrams that Ive been looking at. Looks like there is a difference in one of the connectors. Oddly enough though. ive never heard of anyone who has done this swap mention any problems with the SRS...
