Do you need to do any welding/cutting to put on RRM's axel back, or is like a clamp........

unbolt the back of the old exhaust, bolt back in what RRM sends you. Its like... 4 bolts total, fits back in place perfectly. No cutting or welding... just a little bit of yelling and screaming at the old bolts that are rusted.

Hi..!

I just got a custom axle back consisting of 2.5 tubbing and titanium tip muffler with insert. The muffler looks like the HKS or Apex style with burnt tip. The looks are great but it is very loud.! I even have stock 2 1/4 Cat/resonator on and it is still considerably louder than stock. In the performance department the car feels more loose but I think it lost TQ. I'll put pics of my setup soon..
And run a dyno with my custom CAI.

I am gonna be picking up my RA soon, just gotta finalize deal with the dealer. He showed me a stainless steel muffler for the RA that u can buy as an accessory, says it sounds way better. I am from Canada, anyone else know about this muffler? What did u pay for it? How it sounds? Or if the dealer is giving me a load of bull? Thanks.

it is not a muffler, basically they are throwing on a stainless steel exhaust tip, just to make it look bigger. I have it on my O-Z. Why won't they let me trade it in Damn

Thanks for the reply, but it is not a tip. I seen the muffler, it was up on a display in the showroom. It has a bigger tip, but the muffler itself is also larger, more of a round shape then the stock muffler. I just wanna know if it is worth getting, if it sounds good, versus an aftermarket muffler that fits on the RA.

I found some helpful info in this faq

http://webhome.idirect.com/~trini/car/muffler.html

I'm probably gonna do a 2.25 cat-back with a high performance resonator, and magnaflow muffler.
