Do all 04-06 ralliart have ABS? or was it optional?

 

no idea, I've never seen one without...


does yours not have it?

 

I'm not sure I've never paid attention before. If I do its not working. Its just because I'm ordering new wheel hub/bearing trying to find out without having to take the wheel off.

 

the ABS module is on the firewall in the engine bay on the passenger side...

 

Alright cool seems like I officially do have ABS. I feel like I might have removed the fuse for ABS when I got the car cuz I didn't want it. Ok I have another question for you since I'm not so familiar with the ABS system. I did my wheel bearings about 2 years ago and there already going. I think I put Timken. My mechanic told me to put SKF if I wanted it to last. I also wanna change the wheel hub because the bearings have been done quite a few times. Thing is SKF only makes a rear wheel hub/bearing assembly so I can buy an SKF bearing but not an SKF HUB. What I want to know is if I buy this hub from DORMAN will my ABS be able to go on it? I'm totally lost on this.

hubs have nothing to do with ABS...the wheel speed sensor is in the knuckle, and the blade sensing element is on the outer CV joint. As long as they are the correct part, any hub will work with any wheel bearing. DO NOT try to remove the sensor from the knuckle...unclip the fender liner and unplug the sensor harness

 

Alright perfect! My mechanic friend over here misinformed me saying it was on the hub. Sounds good then. I knew the hub would work with the bearing was just wondering on the ABS. Thanks for the info!

 

some vehicles it may be on the hub, but I assure you it is not in our case...
