Fastworks Tuning

Guys wondering how hard it is to adjust the mivec engagement point? It is as easy as just changing the point of engagement?? I used to love when mivec engaged at 3500rpm... Having power at 120 in 5th now with the 4500rpm engagement I have to drive like 150 to finally hit mivec.

talk to hackish, or I think I even posted a thread about it on the support forums...I was asking if one could theoretically always be in MIVEC, or something along those lines...

the only thing I can say is, any time you make changes you're unsure of, or you're not 100% sure it will improve the tune, save the file as a different file name, and experiment...I have not touched the MIVEC tables at all, so I can't really say with any confidence it's as simple as just punching in a new engagement point, because as soon as MIVEC is engaged, the ECU will switch to MIVEC fuel and timing tables, and if those are not tuned correctly for the engagement point you choose, you may run into hiccups...

I've been been messaging him non stop for a month now just trying to get a file with launch control cuz when I got my car tuned it was a big misunderstanding with brent and mike and I didn't get what I wanted. Still after many many times of asking him to send me any type of file with launch control still hasn't happen... I've seen your thread on fastworks. I liked when I had my stock 04 tune and mivec engaged at 3500rpm now I have to wait so long for the mivec kick or having to downshift every time I want it to move a little

what version of fastworks are you running? and when did you first get tuned? launch control settings have been in the base tunes for like 5 years at least...did you try posting on the support forums? and how are you trying to contact him? remember he's one guy, and deals with hundreds of accounts, not just lancers, galants and eclipses, but the lotus and genesis crowd as well...I even have trouble catching a moment with him, and I have his personal phone number, lol....(don't ask for it...not happening )

I got tuned like 2 years ago. Heres what happened. There was some type of misunderstanding between Mike and Brent. I drove down from montreal and went to see brent and he ended up not having the reflash cable. So he ended up sending me straight to mikes house. He wasnt ready for me I guess and he didint have a file. So he just gave me a file he made for someone else. It didint have the launch control he told me to msg him and he would take care of everything. I only got my tactrix cable recently... I was msging him cuz my engine was knocking alot he tried to help me but everytime id ask him about the launch control hed just skip over it... I also have his personal line.... but im not gona start calling him and bothering him over the phone lol...

yes, now when you download and edit your ROM, the mivec and launch control tables should be there, and editable...
