Evo x steering wheel in 2006 Ralliart
Evo x steering wheel in 2006 Ralliart
So I used to have the Evo IX steering wheel in my Ralliart after following a thread on here and swapping steering column and srs harness.
It did not fit completly right however it sat higher up and I could barely tilt.
i eventually put my factory steering wheel and harness back on and it was fine for me.
Recently I got a 98 Gsx and I bought a Evo X steering wheel for it... Now after finding out the 2006 Ralliart shares the same size column as the eclipse i and the evo x steering wheel required srs modifications to fit right I attempted to see it fit in the lancer.
Its fits perfect with no rewiring unless you need steering wheel radio and audio controls. Cruise control and airbag plugs right in with no lights
First disconnect battery and wait 15-30 minutes for airbag to be safe
All you you do is remove old steering wheel
- Remove the two 27 torx bolts on both side of the steering wheel hold air bag
- remove airbag
- unhook cruise control for clock spring
- loosen 17mm bolt holding steering wheel in place
-remove steering wheel
Instal new steering wheel
- line the new steering wheel up and bolt the 17mm nut back on to hold it
- hook horn switch up
- plug cruise control switch and srs switch back in
bolt the two 27torx bolts holding the evo x airbag
now your finished
