Steering wheels adjust

Hello guys, is it possible to adjust the stock momo steering wheel angle by just removing the bolt on the side and pull up?
Or do i still need to remove the connectors on the bottom so it can be pulled up?

*adjust the steering wheel to the right to center it...
( car is straight but steering wheel is at 5o clock)

You dont need to remove any bolts to adjust the steering wheel angle. There is a little lever right below the wheel on the steering column that you pull downward then you can move the wheel up or down.

How did the wheel end up that way in the first place?

To adjust the steering wheel theres a hexagon 12mm bolt (as i recall it was pretty big when i adjusted mine) on the left side. I had to use pliers to loosen it. After you remove that one bolt it should just slide off the axle/rod.

I can remember, but you might have to if you want to take it off fully. Just disconnect your battery just in case/to be safe!

That would be the type of alignment shop to avoid if this is what happened. Basically when you are setting the toe ( for the front) you are supposed to lock the steering wheel as straight as possible. Regardless though, this is usually one of the first steps when beginning an alignment. As you adjust the toe you need to make sure the steering wheel is locked or its just gonna move on you. Usually a shop will use a device that holds the wheel and rests on the seat against pressure, works pretty good.

You center the wheel by making an adjustment to both tie rod ends - one longer and one shorter. While doing this you also have to maintain the correct toe. It is something that is not too hard to do yourself if you know what you are doing. Otherwise, you need an alignment.
