Finally got it!! Had to use a vice, a block of wood, and a big socket...but it finally went through.

I had to use a gear puller today to get mine off. The salt from this past Winter got in there and corroded between the pin and the bushing, so my shifter was practically stuck in neutral. Made things a little difficult to drive.

I popped out the brass bushings, cleaned the pins off with a rough rag, greased everything up and put it all back together. Works like it should again.

Heh, I tried to pull mine out a couple days ago, since they're starting to squeak and getting stiff. Couldn't get the damn things out. Gave up and sprayed them down with WD-40. Got rid of the squeak and shifter feels better. I'll spray them down every few days for awhile, then try to remove them again to sand and grease them properly.

I was actually kinda concerned about this since it took a great deal of squeezing to get the smaller one in. Besides them getting a little gunked up, what sort of maintenance if any, do I need to be concerned with?

I had trouble with the small one, too, until I pulled the cable out of the bracket that holds it in place. Then the bushing was easier to line up, and pushed onto the pin by hand. Once I got it started, I put the cable partway onto the bracket and pushed them both on at the same time.

They'd probably be fine if you pull them off every year and grease them, or shoot some oil or WD-40 on them every oil change. I found out what happens when you let them go too long up here. Damn salt.

I'm having some problems installing mine. The small bushing looks too small and the larger ones look too big. Or am I missing on something?
I believe I have to install the larger bushing onto the loop below. But both the stock bushing size looks the same.
From this picture I think you can see it quite clearly that this piece is too big to fit into the gold rim. I think it supposed to go to the one below but its still too big to fit in.

My thread asking for help with pictures here.

Thanks in advance.

It's been already talked about a couple of times, the RA uses the same shifter and linkage as the Evo 8-9 (excluding Mr) so use the one for the Evo.
