Well, I bought mine to hold me over untill I can get an MR. First things first, learn to drive a stick. I plan on having my MR by 09 or 10' So I don't think five years will give me many problems. If anyone wants a Black 04 SS all you have to do is pay off my loan.....

Audio balance isn't difficult to achieve. Best way I've found to do it is to install an active crossover on all three of your preamp lines to ensure seamless sound throughout the entire audible range. Then get yourself a deck than can adjust sound at numerous frequencies, rather than just basic bass and treble settings. If you really want to nail it, stick an aftermarket equalizer in that hole below the climate controls.

All this takes a bit of time though, and it does cost a lot if you don't want (or don't know how) to install this stuff yourself. If you don't know how, go grab a $20 book on car stereos, you'll learn more than you'll ever need to know. They honestly are not difficult to install unless you're wanting to make custom boxes and such.

I got my S&S package, no offense guys, the subwoofer is sucks. It can't even handle 150 RMS mono amp, blew it in 5 seconds (even less). However, the midrange speakers and the 4 channels amp. comes with the package is awesome, or at least will do just fine to handle the SPL system upgrade.

why in the world would you hook up another amp to the factory sub? Of course it will blow....it's only supposed to take a certain amount of power. (The amp powers all the channels btw....not just the main speakers..)

I agree with ya on the speakers though...they are quite good for factory.

Definitely agree with ya. I guess my point was just that for a stock, factory installed system, it's better than most on the market. Good discussion, though!

Because once you upgrade your deck (either just for the look, multimedia, or MP3 reasons) that has subwoofer controller built in, or even just to add a passive crossover to your stock system, you need to separate the amp. to run the sub. Furthermore, 150 RMS is the everage power range for 8" sub, it is quite suprising however that the infiniti sub. get blown by this average 'push'.

Cheers

Why bother to use MITSRCVRr or whatever it is? dedicated amp for sub always effecting much greater result on the sound, quality and punch.

You don't use it for the sub. You use it for the front/rear channels. Leaves your third channel open to run a second amp for subs. If you don't have a third channel, you could put a y-splitter on your rear pre-amp and send a signal to both amps from there.

Wouldn't it add head room. You know you could open it and stick your head out. thus adding to head room?

The only place where the S&S will lose room is the trunk. Because the stock RAs dont come with subs. S&S just adds a sub there. Voila~ Plain dead simple. No headroom space is lost.

if you want me to choose for the Sun & Sound Package, ill choose the "Sound" and not the "Sun". Sunroof isnt that great for mitsu, they are a bit faulty at times (read the previous threads). The audio system is okay, but theres lots better ones out there in this crazy auto world. Ya, i say go with aftermarket parts, wiser and wider choice

Got it and I love it. And if the cost is an issue just tell the dealer to knock 1k off the sticker or your going somewhere else.
