Question
your shift point is at 5750rpm and you shouldn't beat the **** out of your car untill you get to like 1000 miles or so but if you can't wait start at 500 but be gental there is a break in period on a new motor
people say, new motors are not to be rev up really high in the beginning. Dunno why the beginning and not always. Ya, keep your rev kina low until you pass the 1k mile line. Then rev all you want =P Plus, if you really really tresure this car, only let yourself drive and make others envy you ~~
definitely don't let your dumbass friend drive your car again. It's fine to hammer it a few times in the very beginning....just don't let it become a habit or you're going to pay for it down the line.
If I understand your question, you are asking whether a 1st to 3rd shift is bad for the car....it is not bad for the car I do it constantly just because a lot of the gears are too close together for city driving. Most of the time I do a 1-3-4 shift when driving in the city and a 1-3-5 shift when getting on the highway. As long as he does not have it bouncing off of the rev limiter all the time you will be fine.
