You think 2.5 is too big going NA? That would be my guess, but for a future turbo setup its a great size.

What about measured gains with a full 2.5" catback? Unless it works to have bigger pipe why buy it?

With 2.5" dial all through will gain around 30HP on the flywheel. It will certainly beat any stock ralliart with CAI, Axle and Piggyback ECU.
All dyno result along with comparison charts will be posted on our website very shortly.

PS: EssentialSpeed is not a new store, its been more than 15 years in Racing Industry.

Not to nit pick....but a) A stock ralliart w/ CAI, axle back, and piggyback is hardly STOCK
B) The aformentioned car will certainlly produce MUCH larger combined gains then what ANY cat-back will.
30hp gain at the flywheel isnn't THAT far fetched, however, it also won't beat much as a stand alone upgrade. Just my .02

Why? You find the price's expensive?
You have to understand that unlike the civic (who's engine REALLY hasn't changed much in layout and design in the past few years) the Ralliart is a new application for the aftermarket industry. So, some of the slightly higher amounts you will pay for things like CAI's and cat-backs and such are for the R&D that has been put into developing the product. As more products are released price's will drop.

Personally, I find the prices of mods actually a little cheaper then when I first had my RSX (when it was first released).

The 30HP gain is the approximate, and out of experience we can definately said that Piggyback ECU gain no more than 20HP on the crank, Axle gain 0 hp (just the noise), and CAI around 6-9 Whp. I am not just blabing but as I have said, all comparison charts will be posted on the site very soon.

Well I think that they are expencieve also i mean really 650 USD for a cat-back is insane....what R&D goes into that......himmmm i think 2.5 inches is better than the stock now lets bend some pipes or buy the bends and weld on the connections put on a good muffler and call it a day. There is no R&D involved in what you did....I'm sorry. I'm not saying that there isn't R&D involved in exhaust design; but that is not what this is. This is taking the stock design and making it bigger. I'm sure you want to make a profit, but how much does it cost you in parts and labor to make, or have someone make one of these; I'm sure it's a lot less than $650. Let me remind you of the profit curve in economics... you can make just as much money selling a lot at a low price as you can selling a little at a higher price...but the benifet is geting your name know for having good prices. I attached a example of a profit curve so you can see what I mean in case you have'nt seen one before. So if you are willing to crunch the number ask around here first and see if you cna make the same amount selling to a bunch of us a lower price than a couple of us a the much higher one. I for one am interested in buying a cat-back, but iI'm not willing to spend that much. Of course you can ignore my advice and flame me for not knowing what I'm talking about....what ever floats your boat.
