Re: S-afc Ii Vs. Rrm Piggyback

Ok, here's the deal...I'm torn between the two. I know what they can both do....to a degree, but I can't decide on either one. I like the idea of seeing the device and being able to re-tune it....however, will it work as well as a piggyback?

Rock/Boe any feedback?

once i go turbo, for myself im thinking about the s-afc or maybe the greddy e-manage system. The piggyback is already set, if i wanna run higher boost with the s-afc u can retune your fuel system so it won't *** up your engine. I mean the piggyback is good, but don't get the rrm piggyback thats out right now if your gonna go turbo. I talked to them a few months ago and they are making another piggyback system just for their turbo kits 8- )

the piggy that is for the NA car is the SAME one that is on the turbo lancers... the map is different that is all.

To answer your ??'s the AFC is ok on NA cars. You can't get as fine of adjustment on it as the piggy back but you can use it and get some decent gains out of it. If your going turbo the only thing the AFC will do is take fuel away. Thus you'll be playing injector and fuel pressure games to figure out where the AFC is more useful. However on higher boost applications the AFC will not remove or add fuel... at a point(about 6-7psi) you'll be tunning using boost to lean out the car. This is not a recommended way of tuning.

Good luck with this but i really can't see the AFC doing you any good unless you are getting cams for the NA car. Otherwise i'd go with RRM piggy as it will keep things right where you want them to be.
