Ouch watch your foglights
Well seeing as how my RA is still pretty new it is a bit of a rock magnet. I got a rock dead on my left foglight, smashed the cover, the light still works but the glass cover is toast. Checked with the dealer to see how much to replace... over $200Cdn for the one foglight assembly.... BRUTAL! Anyone know anything else I could do?
Yeah....I'd do that....for AROUND $200 bucks you can get a set of PIAA's. They also have a kick *** warrenty. A friend of mine had a set of those ones and a rock cracked the lense on one of his lights...all he had to do was scan/fax a copy of his original invoice and a pic of the broken lense and PIAA sent him a brand new set!!!!! Now THATS COOL!
**EDIT - On a side note - This was my 400th post! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE**

Yeah I dont know how they do things in Canada. Good point though. I have seen stock foglights take a hell of a beating. I almost think you should be asking your dealer to cover it as a cracked lens or something...it is too weak if it cannnot handle one little rock.
OR get the PIAA's! They are super nice and $200 would get you a decent pair.

theres a case in canada, where the driver claims small things like scratchs and knock of little bits of paint to the insurance company, in just 5 years, his insurance fee got rasied from 3k to 50k. So he's in pretty big trouble. And he only drives an old civic (not type r not si, just plain civic). He got 2 choices he can make:1. pay up all the claim fees that the insurance compnay paid for his numerous fixes to clear up his record; 2. not pay up and pay 50k a year.
Insurance companys not only care about how much did it cost to repair your broken car. But they also look at how many times you crash and is it consecutive. So I'll just say bring it to mitsu first to see if they can fix it under warranty. If not, just pay it up yourself (or get a brand new aftermarket ones, they look better =P). Your last resort is the insurance company...
