umm no rev limiter??

umm no rev limiter??

ok well i was pushing my RA a little yesterday... and i missed a shift yes gasp i know... i messed up... but we all do sometimes... and i noticed that there is NO rev limiter in my RA because the rpms went to about 6700ish... it was only for a split second though....

so is there no rev limiter or am i just being paranoid

6700rpm doesn't sound very high

I thought I did hit my rev limiter once. If I did it was over 7000 rpm. Can't really remember and I'm not going to try it again.

I'm pretty sure I pounded into the rev limiter around 7000rpm Usually they're set 500-600rpm over the stock redline.

confirmed I hit the rev limiter around 7000rpm.

its so fun to be able to push the car now that I'm out of this break-in period =)

yea...i would guess its bad for the engine... lol

yea i love pushing my car... im a bit over 2k miles now and it pulls like crazy

how much time you have to wait before you can push your Ralliart hard? Im about to get my 2005 and I'm worried :P

In general, you should keep the revs low (below 4k) and stay under 65mph for the majority of your driving the first 1,000 miles. Then, you may "drive it like you stole it" to your hearts content.

Give it about 1000-1500 miles of easy driving, change out your fluids (oil and tranny), checking for metal bits, then have fun.
