RRM Magnaflow exhaust question
boe
the RRM catback has a 2.25" pipe. if we are getting the turbo, wont that hinder the flow considering the turbo downpipe will be 2.5"? For a FA application, doesnt it make more sense to just get a 2.5" pipe on the catback now or just wait on the catback until we get the turbo? Sorry if im going in circle, but this is the main concern thats been stopping me from doing any exhaust work yet.

Now this brings up a question for me too... sorry if it's off topic, but isn't the RRM turbo kit supposedly going to be 50 state legal? how will this work if they're eliminating the cat?
I think your talking about the regular lancer... the ralliart hasn't had any plans for smog/legality that i know of. I believe the downpipe on the RA kit is 2.25 thus it will go together will with the catback... even if the catback is 2.25 and downpipe 2.5 there isn't much of a hinderance since it's so free flowing... maybe you'll get 5-10hp by going to 2.5 but you may lose some low end that you don't want to.
When playing with exhaust sizes it is always a give and take relationship... give up low to gain high.

any more of your insider news on how RRM's testing /w the turbo has been going? its been a while since we got any real updates. Is it safe to assume that they are still going to stick /w the 2.25" catback for turbo applications, also? If so, I may have to put in an order =]
