It might be the throwout bearing, but every time I've seen a chattery clutch, the flywheel was just badly hot-spotted. Machining the flywheel fixed it, and slipping the clutch less prevented it from happening again.

(sorry, I don't speak much French)

Thats what my friend said it was a badly hot-spotted clutch, although he also drove a manual like an idiot. He rides the clutch in every gear, and also did not know how to engage the clutch properly, ie., slipping the clutch.

I have that a bit in the mornings...I just presumed its because of the resevoir in the clutch line.

If it is the throwout bearing will it be warrenty?

Crazy lancer - Did they say if its gonna be covererd under warrenty to you?

Well, the reservoir doesn't help. If you try to launch the car, the reservoir keeps you from engaging the clutch as fast as you want it to, and you end up with hot-spots.

Until I get the RRM clutch line, I'm taking it easy on the launches, and only getting on it after the clutch is engaged.

My Talon had a restrictor built into the stock clutch line, but that's easy to take out.

So is this covered in the warranty? Cause my car has that problem alot when I first start off. Sometimes it feels so bad as if I was revving it in first and was barely grippin the wheel on a turn. If you know what I mean. When the car is just doing that whomp whomp whomp. And what is the deal with the warranty? Alot of ppl are saying that there gonna be all voided, unless I heard wrong? I went to a dealer yesterday and the guy said they were closing in a few months.

o.k. good news. i just call the guy at mitsubishi, he said that the shaft bearing for the clutch was dry, no grease or something like that. so you have to put librificant on this shaft and it will be o.k. he thinks. tommorrow he will finish the job and try it. he said that mitsubishi didn't use grease on this shaft!!!
