JUST got a TICKET!

ok so i'm coming home from school , and was about to get onto the next street witch is kinda like a mountain road witch the speed limit is 50mph, then all of a sudden this pos integra cuts me off and gets in front of me slammin his breaks and then goes about 20mph. so then a white ford explore gets to the intergras side and goes about 20mph , it was kinda wired and , i felt like i was about to get car jacked or something , so finally the integra goes about 40mph and there was enuff room for me to get infront of the explore on the left of me , so i pass the exlore and the intergra is about a half car in front of me on the right lane (theres only 2 lanes) and the explore is behind me . so this jackass intergra gets in between both lanes wouldnt let me pass him and were going about 30mph in a 50mph so i ride his bumper for like 10sec then he slams on his brakes , then proceeds in front of me on the middle of the two lanes , then we finally come up to a light and i look at him, then i see a guy come out of the explore, and im like o crap imma get car jacket but i guess but the guys that were in the explore were accally under cover cops , so they pull both of us over and blah blah blah , i just said i was trying to go straight 2 get away from this guy , cuase it was bassically like roadrage and one of the two cops kinda understood , then the other cop was like , you know how much in trouble you 2 can be in for street racing and im like omg but the cop pulled me to the side and was like , i could give 3 tickets 1. for switching lanes with no single ( i dont remember doing this ) 2. for follow to close , and 3. for speeding , but the cop was cool and only gave me a ticket for following to closely. The other guys on the other hand , had no licens , no insurence , driving in the middle of two lanes , the list goes on . But yeah , thats my story , i do have one question thow , dose anyone know how much you think the "CVC 21703 - Follow to closely " ticket is going to cost me ?

i just went to court today and it sucked so bad. i had mandatory appearance because the retarded cop said i was going 95 (serious charge) in a 65. i didnt go above 85, but she was mad because she couldnt weave through traffic to catch me. anyways i got there at 9:30 and sat in the courtroom till 2:30 till she called me up and said guilty or not guilty. i said not guilty and shes like ok come back on this date. i hate the system so much, today made me so mad at everything, but anyways good look with your ticket

Well spork, you could have really got shafted on that one. In most states, following too closely is a fairly minor offense and I would think that the fine and points shouldn't be too bad. Also, you might wanna tell everybody what state you are in so they can look it up.

The ticket should say it right on there, if there is a fine/fee associated with it...
But I, myself would challenge the ticket!!!
I work closely to things like these and I can tell you if it's not some small town where your from & the cops don't always just sit around & write tickets they will probably not show up for the court. Especially if they are not regular patrolmen.

I would think the cops in CA might have something better to do than go to court... but who knows... If the other guy is there on the same day/same time, then they might be there because they nailed him w/ 3 tickets...

lol I don't think so. I thought entrapment having them set up a situation (like selling drugs or something) and then catching you when you obviously go through with it. The cops didn't set up the situation, they were simply there. NOW if the other car was also cops, THEN it would be entrapment (I think).

Yeah, if you have a clean record, it shouldn't be that hard to get off on this one... Not to metion that they ticketed him 3 times & not having ins. & d.l. he is obviously a more negligent & hazardous driver!!!
