just a lite sanding with 600 grit wet sand paper, dry it good and clean it with a mild solvent to remove grease and dirt then paint.

Modernracer - Do you still have off the heat shield?? I haven't had a chance to look at the bolt patern for sheild yet. Is it a seperate set of bolt to take that off or is it the same set of bolts that holds the header on??

Just the bolts you see on the shield have to come off are the only ones
