Clock Fuse?
Clock Fuse?
Is there one? I was running a power wire to the power wire on the clock and it heard something, sounded like a fuse blown....cant seem to find a clock fuse in the manual....There was power to the clock and since i heard that sound...it dont have power no more...so im guessing there has to be a fuse....but where is it? Thanks in advance!

Sounds more like you've blown up your clock. Pull it out and pull it apart. If you've hurt it the fact that it made a sound should make any damage apparent.

Here is the delimma. I am hooking up a shift light.....I was gonna run the power and ground in with the clock. I ran the power wire from the shift light into the power for the clock. When i did that, the clock stopped working....no power from power wire going into clock....so then i noticed the memory wire was getting power.....so i ran the power wire from clock into memory wire....battabing! clock works again....from there i ran the power wire from shift light into the memory/power wire...and then ran the ground wire into the ground wire going into the clock......battabing! Clock and shift light work....i test this numerous times by cutting the car on and off several times....go to put the dash back on and hook up the clock and flashers.....and it stops working.....checked all connections and they are good.....WHAT IS THE PROBLEM??? this is so frustrating
Sounds like the clock is designed to have power from the car when running, and a continuious flow while the car is off to keep time. You've shorted something somewhere, or putting too much/too little juice to the clock.
Put it all back together and tap your power off the lighter socket. That thing has 100x more power then it needs anyways. It also has it's own fuse.
