So I just spent 30 minutes in the dark trying to replace my thermostat, which my father and the guy at the auto shop insisted was behind the TOP rad hose. I am sorry to say that I nearly forgot about this forum. And I apparently also forgot the fact that I was working on a Mitsubishi.

Does anyone else's fan keep running after you shut the car off for a little bit or start running not long after you start driving. I keep getting a check engine light because my coolent temp is to low. I figured its because my fan don't let the car really heat up. But just wondering if it was a common thing or what.

its common. its the fan controller. there's threads somewhere here if you search and the part number for the controller is listed in the part number thread sticky
