How to install Evo 7 seats
How to install Evo 7 seats
Hi,
I bought some Evo 7 Front and Rear seats but the front seats didn't come with the rails. I have read on here that they can be installed on our factory rails but the guy who was installing them said that they won't as the whole rail system is different from the Lancer to the Evo.
How have others managed to do this?
I'm trying to track down some Evo 7 rails so that I can install them but no one will sell them without the seats (BTW I'm New Zealand
).
The only other option is to get aftermarket rails but in NZ doing this means you have to get the car professionally certified which costs a fair bit of $$$ and I have already done it once when I did my coilovers about 6 months ago and don't want to pay it again.
Also with the rear seats, the back part is nice and secure but the bottom part is not. I have read that you need to change the clips over to the Evo ones so that they clip in. That's for the front and that's fine I'm working on that. But what about the rear part that goes against the boot, where does that secure to?
Cheers,
Sanzie
