make headlights brighter???

make headlights brighter???

ok a friend of mine told me that i can make my headlights brighter by removing a piece in my headlight housing... the part that covers the bulb.... has anyone done this... does it blind other drivers....

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
On that type of unit, that piece reflects light back to the silver painted refraction part of the housing. Get either better bulbs (Silverstar for halogen) or HID converstion kit in a 4300k range. Going higher (5000k+) is less usable output (more blue than white/yellow).
