It actually can be pretty close. Last year I ran A Stock with Victoracers and this year I'm on JICs and the OEM Yokos. My times are pretty close relative to people that didn't change anything. My lat accel is actually a touch higher in the 1.20-1.23 range compared to 1.18-1.22 range last year. Braking is down a little as ABS comes in much sooner. In particular, the fronts seem to want to lock up first, which makes sense if you think about it. In the stock configuration, the back end unloads quite a bit, therefore the stock brake bias is set heavily to the front. With the stiffer suspension, the rear has more than enough grip and the front runs out first. The big plus is on corner exit. It's an 03 EVO, and I was often spinning the inside front with the stickies and stock combination. Now it's just gas and go.
