eibach vs tein-h

i'm going to buy new springs, but i need some opinion between these two brands. i don't want the car too low, but have the gap between the tire and fender reduced. i want a comfortable ride, between the two which one would better suit me and which one is better quality?

Also, my dealership quoted me about 600 dollars (CAD) for labor for 6 hrs of work (96 per hr labor rate). does that sound right?, if not, how much would be right?

eibach 6040.140, pro-kit,cost-195.22 (usd)
tein- cost 198 (roadrace, usd)

thanks

i have the tein s-techs and i run into potholes everyday, and the ride is rougher than stock, but suitable considering it looks better, and it took my shop about an hour to install for like 130 bucks i believe, and i paid 125 for my springs, and i also think that eibach lowers the same amount all around instead of just lowering the front like we need.

Just have a tire shop install springs, it's not rocket science, and it sounds to me like your dealership quoted you such an insane price because they don't want to do it.

Heck do it yourself if you got a Impack. Even an eletric one will do. Go buy a spring compressor from autoparts store around 30 dollars and compress your own springs ect.

That is ridiculous. 6 hrs? I could run a marathon before those guys install your springs. No longer than 2 hrs. Any longer they are cuckoo.

doesnt matter what springs you run, any spring will kill your shocks over time..
btw 6 hrs of labour? kidding me right...should be 2 hours TOPS
goto velocity in markham, i think its 70 for spring install and a bit more for coilovers..speaking of coilovers..just go coilovers..do it right the first time and im speaking from experience..just save up and you wont be dissappointed

^^^ yes go with the coilovers, there a little more but if you just get springs you will need shocks real soon and it will cost you more in the long run. plus the ride hight is ajustable .call around you live in the GTA theres over a hundred performance shops around there ,you have the most options in canada.search on mitsu car club canada or lancernation or do it yourself you will need to get it alined.

If you stick with springs go with an even drop front to rear or you alter the center of gravity of the car. I understand the front will "look" higher than the rear. Deal with it if you want to retain stock center of gravity.

I have the Eibach sport kit and a Progress rear sway both with many miles - love it.

thanks for all the replies. i have decided to go with coilovers (tein basics). honestly when i look at the stock height i love how low it is at the rear. therefore, if i lower the front only, will that decrease my suspension performance? also if i just want to just eliminate the gap btw the wheel and finder (front and rear); how much should i set the ride height?

thanks

You might try a search or start a different thread with a pertinent title for your new question. You should get better response.

Good luck!
