Offset

Has anybody tried an offset other than +42 on their car? And if so what is the offset and the outcome. I found some rims I want to get that are +38 (not evo rims) but I don't want to get them if they will not fit. BTW they are 17x7 so not sure if that extra width will rub too.

whether it rubs or not will be a factor of the tire size. I had to roll the fenders out to fit 225/45ZR17s on a 17x7 with +46mm offset. On the plus side, the car looks badass now

+46?? that is thr wrong way for me. I am moving out towards the fender 4mm from stock, and you moved 4mm in from stock, I have no idea how you would rub, but that kind of worries me. But in any case, I found the wheels I was looking at in a +42 still 17x7. So I am going to get those on there I think.

I moved 4mm in but have a tire 20mm wider than stock. The fender caught the very edge of the tire. A little "massaging" with the fancy fender rolling tool and she's perfect. Plus I get the look of FAT tires

How much did the fender roll cost? And will somewhere like Les Schwab be able to do it (Where did you get it done)?

I dunno who Les Schwab is... but sure I bet he can do it
My buddy just borrowed the tool from work so we got it for free, I think he said $60-80CND per fender is what they usually charge.
