2012 Mercury Gray ES, Plastidipped, Debadged, LEDs
Decided to try something different for a while, and save some gas in the process. Going from 17mpg to 34mpg is nice. I know it's no Evo, but it's all I could afford.
I got the car Tuesday and started gathering small stuff to mod the car right away. Down the road I hope to do some more of course.

Got rid of the Mitsubishi emblem yesterday,

Today I plastidipped my bumper, installed some tri-chip led strips, and swapped all my normal bulbs with cool white LEDs. I ordered new headlight bulbs but only got the high beams today

I'll get in a proper shoot soon. These were all phone pics. Decided to snap a bunch during the LED strip install process to write up a how-to if you guys are interested in seeing that.
Bye bye 300

I've been using them in the mornings without headlights and they definitely get noticed and they are pretty bright but I wouldn't say they are a good fog replacement. They really don't project far enough ahead to be used as fogs in my opinion.
I don't like the led strip, they look tacky. If it were me I'd get rid of the strip and the black piece and put grill in it. Also I would get some kind of front lip for the front bumper, it looks so naked or like it is missing something. =)

I've been thinking about that...if I did any sort of aftermarket grill in those spots I'm not sure if I would like chrome or I should do black.
I have some chrome billet grill that I can cut up, mount the led's behind/in, and plastidip if needed. I might give it a shot this weekend. The LED's have been getting tacky in my eyes as well, they need to be more..."integrated"...for lack of a better term.

BLACK... everything else on the front is black, keep it simple and clean.
Got my windows tinted, 15% all around.

I also bought some Konig Zero-in's (17x7), have always wanted a set since I first saw them. I need to get some tires, but might wait until after winter so I can save up and get some lowering springs also and do it all at once. I want the Tein S. Techs. All four boxes fit in the trunk! Lol.

Test fit, they sit flush.

Spent some time today cleaning them and putting a coat of wheel wax on.

Nice rim, I would do without the red though, just to keep it simple. You should find some kind of front lip(simple clean looking one) for your lancer, the front bumper looks naked and get a spoiler. =)
Thanks man, I enjoy the red. I definitely want a spoiler in the future, and I think my next mod is definitely some Tein S springs, after putting on the wheels...I need em!
Got some 225/45-17 ContiProContacts mounted today. Next step is definitely lowering. I plan to move my LED's to the inside of the grills this weekend if i find the time, I don't like them on the outside anymore.
