We shall see what kind of sales numbers it puts up at the end of the summer, or beginning of the Fall, or in October, or late August, or sometime in September, or whenever the hell your salesman told you the RA would be here.

If I could swing the $40k+ for a properly equipped MR, this wouldn't even be a question. Realistically though, it just ain't happening, and so the Ralliart looks like a solid contender.

You really can't compare these two cars. They are in totally different leagues. If one has the money to spend on an EVO, then they really aren't too concerned with drop in fuel efficiency.

Now, that said, I also agree that the Ralliart will sell more, only because it will appeal to a larger market.

A loaded Ralliart with navi will be in the range of a base GSR. It's a no-brainer IMO.

I got got insurance quotes for both, the RA for me was $640/ 6mo. The evo is $1884/6mo. So even though prices are close the RA wins

Do the math. Having S-AYC isn't worth 4g's a year for me. The RA is good enough.

I'm sure somebody on here will end up whooping some azz with a nicely modified Ralliart.

The price of a GSR has dropped a lot over the last few months, give it time.

2 completely different cars. If you want performance, go for the evo. If you want gas mileage and a cheaper car, go for the RA. It all depends on what you do with it.

I choose the ralliart for what it offers at its price tag. I like a lot, more than happy.

For the price of a loaded EVO X MR, I´d rather choose a 335i. No brainer for me.

the gsr and a fully loaded ralliart appeal to different potential buyers. the fully loaded ralliart buyer is looking for a decently fast car that has a lot of options.

the base gsr is geared towards pure enthusiast who just want an amazing car and not a lot of extra options.

ralliart will have lower insurance rate, and cheaper maintance.... i would assume the ralliart's breaks will be cheaper to replace than the evo's brembos. etc etc.

Mitsu is trying to get as much money as they can and they know the cars will sell to similar but different audiences

to compare these two cars is stupid. people who can't afford an EVO will buy the ralliart...simple. and to the dumbass who keeps calling the SST an automatic, i don't feel like getting into it right now, but you're an idiot. you control the gears just like a manual, you shift faster than a manual, you just don't have to bother with the clutch or rev matching yourself. it's a better transmission. period.
