A Lancer that doesn't suck
lancer is no where near the evo x. then again mitsu is notorious makin the same chasis, body with different engine transplant for certain models. now the new lancer and the ten....to me the only difference is well everything...but its so wrong to think of it that way. mitsu gets a big thumbs down. wasting their money, wasting your time. with that money i'd rather get a real evo or put money down for one. AT LEAST ITS ABOUT TIME THEY BRING BACK "LANCER GSR'S" WELL SORTA.
I would have to have a DD car that I can have some fun driving on weekends and such. For some of us the Evo is just too far away. I could not possibly afford the monthly bills and the insurance on an Evo beast. Would I take one if I could afford it... maybe, but an Evo is the kind of car you don't suffer for if you take it out everyday.

You could add: poorer gas mileage, higher price, underbody aluminum prone to pitting in climates where they salt for snow/ice, crappy looking red-bordered taillights, windshield washer fluid in the trunk, nowhere to mount a front license plate (where required by law, it has to be put off to the side looking half-assed), no rotor glow orange colour, and probably a few other things too... particularly for the majority of us who will use the car for daily driving, where the Ralliart is a much more sensible car (but not too sensible... that's what the GTS is for).
i agree, knowing the sense of all this talk its almost sayin its a model lower than the X RS. thinking of it that way is kinda childish. forsure a better car than the last model. almost seems too good to be true...i have just as much hopes as i have doubts...we'll C, chow

did any one else notice that in the article it calls out a nav system with 40gig drive and traffic via Mitsu Diamond service? Sounds like they are updating the nav. I have the current 08 nav and it only has 30gig with no traffic option.
Yeah I noticed that too. I wouldn't put too much faith in what "Super Street" has to say though. The article was poorly written for starters, they gave us nothing that hasn't already been said about the Ralliart, they published the same tired old pictures, and they twice called the 4B11 the B411.

True it just the part about the Diamond Lane Service for traffic that got me. That’s a detailed screw-up. I don't believe Mitsu ever had a service like that before and I doubt they planned ahead far enough to add that tech into our 08 nav and just haven’t utilized it yet.

I am a little older and do not see the point of spending any money on NAVI. Why not just get a portable and use it for years in every vehicle and save thousands in the process. Plus, how often do you really go somewhere and need directions?
I use my navi. every single day for my job but I see your point, most people don't get their monies worth from an in-dash system and would be better suited getting a $200 Garmin. The MMCS is so much more than just a digital map though.
