Only if they're properly engineered to compliment the aerodynamics of the car -- the IX had one because Mitsu's engineers determined that it benefited the car.
The British Evo X FQs have one again this product cycle, but I'm not fully convinced whether it's because it needs them, or because after the IX, the public just expects it to be there.
There is a 3rd party clone of the X VG, but the aerodynamic advantages aren't clear. With the Ralliart low-profile spoiler, I'd say it's an even bigger question mark.
Buy a VG for a Ralliart because you like the look, not for the aero advantages it is supposed to provide.

I can just say at about 145 ish I can really feel the wing pushing down, Does the Generator help, well if you ask my friend from Boeing who is an Engineer, He says yes. I so far don't know but it sure looks good and I understand the concept. Works for me
