Why do you want an RA?

When news started to come out about the Prototype X, Mitsubishi caught my attention. I really loved what they did with the exterior and interior of the new evolution and was very interested. However, with recent times getting the best of my bank account and the X's price was bit more than I wanted to spend on a DD, I set my sights on the RA. For me, I wanted AWD, yet something fun to drive, and something not too ugly. Subaru completely funked up the WRX in my opinion as it no longer has the same feel as the older cars did with the new body style. The BMW 135i also caught my eye, however RWD as well as price have unfortunately made me reconsider. I have also considered the cobalt SS, but it doesn't have AWD and it's not the best looking car.

So......

I want the RA because of
-AWD
-Turbo
-SST
-Not ugly

Why do you want the RA? Why don't you want the RA? What other car are you considering?

Same reasons you stated for the most part, although for me, I've wanted an AWD DCT/SMG car since I first rode in an SMG M3. Mitsubishi just happened to be the first company in the US to introduce this combination at a reasonable price, if someone else had done it, they'd get my business.

RA for the better AWD system, SST.
WRX...better economy and seems to be more refined for me (quiet and smooth), not a boy racer as the RA style (I actually like the RA look better) AWD....I am 40.
Cobalt SS...cheap cost, great performance, great economy, ugly, CHEAP everything, FWD.

I am leaning WRX for now. I do not need a car for about 6 more months. I am waiting on TTP to get the zchip for the RA before I decide.

I wanted a RA because for one mitsu never disappoints when it comes to their AWD turbo cars. The SST was sweet, like no other gearbox ive ever driven. I hate hatches (MS3), the Cobalt SS is a piece, and the WRX was beaten too many times with the ugly stick.

I have seen only TWO, Cobalt SS PoS and its not even the newest model.. So, down here in Miami, looks like not to many people like the rental car with racer attitude. Mazdaspeed3 is the overall choice here though.

But anyways, I want the Ralliart because it gives you MR-like shifting for roughly $11,000 less. Most probably, a Zchip will take care of the Power issues.

Why I do NOT want the Ralliart:

The Body work is just like my current Lancer ES... I don't want people to think I'm driving a modded Lancer... my wife can keep the ES.. I want them to know I'm driving a Ralliart...

Mitsu needs to make that Ralliart body much more aggressive (wider fenders... yes, Evo-like) and improve gas mileage; seriously.

I dont know if the RA has a better AWD system that the WRX. They have the same AWD system as the evo IX and does not have AYC like the Evo X.

awd for the canadian winter, great sporty performance for the summer. i'm coming from a 1998 jetta...that originally pushed 115hp...prolly 90hp now lol. i thought it would have the same look as the evox as far as width goes. but now seeing the pics of them on the lots...i dunno, it looks too narrow and econobox'ish. my jetta has more fender flare than the RA.
