Specs and Parts

The 09 Ralliart section is weak. There is no useful information here. You would think that with major component similarities there would be more discussion on what needs to be upgraded, whos making the right parts and cooresponding performance gains.

The motor is the same, the exhaust is the same, the tranny is the same ..... so...

Whos making IC piping for the Ralliart? Whos working on cracking the ECU and adding S-Sport mode on the Ralliart. ( i have to beleive that its a variable in programming and a exe trigger. ) Where are the how tos, the ECU flashes and so on?

Let it be known. Im saying it now. The Ralliart crowd is going to be the biggest group to sell aftermarket performance to.

My contribution: Power Gain Mods.
- The 08 drop in filters fit the 09 Ralliart.
- As found in the Evo X section, you can up the boost by shortening ( adding tension ) the Waste Gate arm. 3 turns.

Its not much by I will continue to report the more I find out. In the meantime I need to know what the stock boost psi is for the Ralliart turbo. Anyone?

You have to consider though. Since not much people bought the ralliart 09 on the release date, you would assume that the population of people who bought this car didn't really attract much attention to the aftermarket companies. If I'm the business owner, why would I spend alot of money for R&D just to sell my product not even close to 50 pcs. That would not even cover my research money I spent do design it.

I hope alot of people would buy the Ralliart 09 which would be same scale as MS3 and WRX so those aftermarket ones would really start digging for mods and stuffs.

I'm in the same boat as you. I would like to upgrade a few things, but I think we need to give it some time. The car isnt in all states yet. I'm assuming the Evo's aftermarket cat-back exhausts systems will fit, so thats a start (I'm going to attempt to get local confirmation with an Evo owner or shop on the hanger locations before i order one).

I was thinking the same thing. This is getting stale. Need some new stuff/breakthroughs. Get to a track and get some numbers for us to ponder!!

What ever happened to Tuning Tech and their loaner Ralliart? I know they had a big brake kit, exhaust, and a couple other things on it. Werent they in the process of testing out new parts back in August? I tried PM'ing the guy a couple weeks ago but never heard back from him.

Also the stock boost is around 13 psi. According to this source:

I agree! Once Mitsu gets a chance to ramp up the production numbers and meet the demand as so many people on here seem to offer. I think the ralliart is going to really grow on the public and the tuners will listen. The one that I've seen at least so far really active is RobiSpec. Don't know much about them but nice to see the jump on athe marketing here on the forms. I don't think i'm alone in saying that I search almost daily for who is coming out with the mods for the Ralliart which I think will account for a big percentage of how may people will also buy. I was quite swayed in purchasing at first with wrx due to the mods avail. But I'm betting the tuners are going to step up.....Ralliart for me! Bring on the mods Tuners!!

Mitsubishi hasn't even sold 2000 evo X's in the US yet. I'm sure a few evo tuners will have a few things for them in about 6 months. The evo stuff is just now coming along..give it some time.

Should be quicker for the RA since they have already figured out the basics of the X, decoding the RA should be a snap. Unless the tranny give fits.

13 psi. Good to know.

Let me throw this out there. If the Block, Head, Pistons, sleeves, tranny are the EXACT same as an Evo X, then the weak point could be the turbo if I turn the boost all the way up.

Speaking of turning it all the way up. By the shortening the Waste Gate arm it takes more force to release boost pressure thus increasing the boost psi to the motor. Is there something I missing from this theory? Are there other potential dangers Im overlooking?

Give it another 3-4 months and you'll get the tuner support you're looking for...many dealers don't even have the RA yet, they're still stuck on the notion they're going to sell their ridiculously priced EVOs (not Southcoast obviously, so please don't bring it up...those of us on the East coast are still seeing insane prices even in this economy ie. $35k GSR, $43k MR down the street from me in Bodymore)
