I've had both seats and I drive alot. I had the stockers in my GTS and they're comfortable and practical for most people. I now have the Recaro's in my X and I wouldn't go back. While only slightly less comfortable, and you can only tell on really long drives, the Recaro's hold you in very snug and make you feel like you're part of the car much like a fighter pilot in his cockpit. I find the driving height fine but then again I'm 6ft tall. If this is a concern and your heart is set on the Recaro's I've seen mods, on here I believe, where people have put steel spacers on the seat bolts to increase height. Of course it's your choice but persoanlly I would wait, not only for the seats but also because you get the HID's as well. Good luck and don't forget to post some pics when you do get it.

And if you prefer the GTS seats or any non-Recaro seats,
Get the Recaro package that comes with the amenities and sell the Recaros and get some seats that would work for you.
I am more then sure, there would be guys here that would want to purchase your seats.
Just a suggestion.

You can buy the seats from Mitsu but they're expensive!

Personally, I didn't like the Recaros. They were very uncomfortable and I hated how they pushed in on the sides. Just personal preference though.

There's gotta be a way to get the Recaro package and not wait 6-7 months! If you can, talk to another dealership over the phone to see if they can order one for you. You should even think about going out-of-state.

If you only want the seats, pass on the package. If you want the seats, HID, and the sound system(if you like louder music you will more than likely switch this out anyway) definitely get the package.

I personally passed on the package and the base seats are total crap compared to the Recaros. Sure you can always buy Bride seats or some other aftermarket seat, but then you have to rig up the airbag system. Also you can buy a pair of the Recaros on this forum from anywhere from $800-$1000 bucks and the install takes all of 30 minutes.

I also had that concern before the purchase, I'm 5'-8", and have no issues with the ride height of the recaros. IMO they are amazingly comfortable, even on long drives. I believe the package is completely worth it, and would wait for it. It's easy for me to say, but I am as impatient as you sound. I was actually looking for a graphite grey, wicked white, or apex silver RA, but got a rotor glow because it was the only one I could find at the time with recaro package. Still completely satisfied with the purchase.

IMO the only thing worth the money in the package is the HID's, which really only retail OEM for $1200 (600 per HID setup, I already asked my dealer to order me them, and he said $1200 for both, 600 a piece).

I've seen some of the recaro's after a month or more of use.... not the best quality (poor stitching OEM). I've had my base seats for a year now and it's quite comfortable. A lumbar support would be nice. I sat in the driver's seat for a 6 hour drive down California & 6 hours going back, the stock seats were good enough. I've heard the recaro's referred to as: "OEM base seats with 2 more cushions & RECARO stitched into the top."

The sound package is not all that powerful. Working in car audio; 710 of peak power (the amp), which is much lower RMS, Split to 10 speakers (1 of which being a 10" sub) does not warrant the boasting everyone implies. 710 split to 10 normal speakers is 71 watts per speaker (which is 20 more watts than stock), but that isn't the case because 1 speaker is a sub-woofer which draws more power, and that is factoring you want to fry your amp. So you'll be getting lower than stock power for 9 interior speakers and 1 sub. Test drive the car on the freeway, and listen to the sound system cranked up & windows down, any sound system will sound good with the windows up and on back roads.

Recaros are Recaros.
Point.
Great seats. And it has airbags.
I personally have issues with the leather ones in the MR.
Great looking seats but their bolsters are very stiff.

Speakers can be better, but they are a great and no....close your windows and not all car systems sound good. And if your rocking your stock system with windows down expecting it to be deafening. Then you need to go with an aftermarket system anyway. Thas common sense.
