are dealerships full of sh.t?
With the unknown on energy prices, you had better get a performance car now. They will only be going down in power in the near future in order to get better EPA fuel economy. It will be government regulated big time now with OBAMA in there. He keeps pushing fuel efficiency, the RA hardly qualifies as that.

That being said, the crowd that's into engine mods and 300+hp cars is going to be struggling a lot more with regulations in the next few decades, as we make the slow transition from gasoline/diesel to gasoline-/diesel-hybrids to whatever comes after that.
[this trend began forty years ago and will continue well into the middle of this century -- whatever fears you have of Obama are definitely irrational, especially since he now has to save the US auto industry alongside worrying about the environment]
mitsubishi dont need to go down in power just to get better fue economy, a good example is the turbo diesel concept R A that was built and shown at the 2008 detroit autoshow with more than 200 hp and 312 lb/tq. awd take a look at it in youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbRYr...eature=related
no.its just that the evo x havent been selling as good as they thought it would and so they dont want to produce more ralliarts because they dont want to risk it. evo x only estimated about under 2k sales. so yeah..sucks..bbut for people that have a ralliart....arent we lucky!!
Mitsubishi is big into lithium battery technology -- you can easily get well over 200 horsepower with a hybrid on a reasonably fuel-efficient 4-cyl engine, especially with a CVT transmission.

Uh, you may want to read this irrational statement. Obama already talking about rolling back plans for oil drilling in UTAH. I suppose that can only help the auto industry!! All they need is a quick return to high oil and gas prices!!! WAKE UP. This is going to be a disaster in the name of global warming. Get your donkey and horses saddled up and get a nice bike.

[by the way, the future of North American oil is in Alberta, Canada -- read up on the massive oil sands and it'll be easy to forget about the tiny puddles under Utah and off the US coast]
Really, that's the best the fake-conspiracy-mill in the US can come up with? -- even here in Canada we had our current Prime Minister's top aides joking about their opponent eating babies, during an election. Anyway, spare me the political crap, on either side -- it has nothing to do with Mitsubishi dealerships, and almost nothing to do with cars in general.

I picked mine up on accident. I was looking at an evo viii but the finance guy showed me the option to get a black RA, which i could finance for 1/3 the interest rate. the GM of the dealership drove it for the first 200 something miles, so they knocked off $2,000 and gave it to me for $25,xxx.
FYI, I spoke to a friend the knows someone at Mitsubishi, apparently there are about 1000 ralliarts available for sale. About 600 or so on the ground and the rest being distributed to dealers right now. You should be able to get the one you want depending on what market you're in.

We have all colors in stock and ready to go!!!!
