and Yes to the post, I also have experienced the delay. For me when the trans is cold (start up) or perhaps shifting into R when still slightly rolling forward. Try a complete stop and you may not have so much trouble. Kinda like the Old Honda Autos, terrible for grinding into gear if not at a complete stop, and even still did a bit then.
im not a moderator just as you .
It is not a same tranny . They are based on the same tranny and they work the same way.

So for problem solving they are apply for the same procedure. just like the "same" manual transmissions. There is a difference between the RS and the GSR trannys all around the world/ non US older evo's/. Nobody call them a same transmission. ONLY difference is the gearing. Just something to think about.

The same tranny would be a same gearing and the same transmission program and the same options including the S-sport mode and the launch program.
That is alone 4 difference.

But for you is a same its fine . God bless you.

Some times I think you defend every post of yours just to hear yourself type.

Be nice to the SST, remember its a super complicated compact set up, and it's a new product on the market that likely will have a few things to get worked out. Also remember it has 2 gears that it has to disengage from(selected and preselected forward gears) before you get the R engaged.

Another thing the dual clutch tranny did in its early life in my GTI was hesitate and buck when going up hills under 30 mph. After about 10K miles that went away along with the reverse engagement problem. I mentioned these issues to the service department when I was in for my oil changes and perhaps there was an update for the TCM they performed and didn't write it up. I'm not sure.

I, too, hope this applies to all of the SST's...
