hey i tried two things today that surprised me, one i was mkind of expecting which was opening the air box just so i can see how it sounds. After riding a little the rpms started to drop almost if the car was going to turn off.. figured it had to be with the who vaccum /pressure loss to the engine. The next thing was power braking. It worked great til about 3200 rpm but when i floor it to get more rpms the screen showed a sign that says slow down and killed the rpms. anyone else messed around with the ra like this?

you are torching the 1st gear clutch and overheating the oil. That move should only be performed on the last run for pinks, and even then you shouldnt do it.

07outty is this what you have?

http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=476

it's on "sale" for $99...do you know how much they charge for shipping?

I did a search on WORKS drop in filter and the EVO X people have dynos and data logs that show a good 10-15HP gains....not bad for a hundred bucks I guess...

EVO X had a really bad tune out the factory, so that's why a drop in lead to decent gains. With the 09RA it's a different issue, it has a better tune on it than the EVO X did, so your gains from a drop in will be minimal prob about 5hp, if that.

as far as I know...

heres what the works site states about the drop in:

This direct drop-in replacement for the factory filter can flow twice as much as the stock filter giving gains of up to +6 HP (+9 HP Ralliart).
i'm not saying i know that hp increase to be true, but that would be nice
