Oil Question

I have a question about the oil the car came with from the factory. I just went in to the dealer for my first oil change and they set me up with Mobile 1 full Synthetic, which I am happy about. What I am tryiing to figure out is if the SAE 5W-30 ( as the owners manual recommends) that was in the car was mineral to begin with or synthetic. I know they have a few additives when it comes from the factory but I am a bit lost. I have read some comments here about it and it seems to be mineral oil that was in there first off.

The dealer was dead sure ( spent half and hour clarifying) that it came ( with synthetic ... from japan) I have a feeling it was mineral. Is there a specail code that shows to signify its synthetic.

For sure my manual clearly says SAE API 5W-30...but what is it. Syn or Mineral?

Guess its a bit late now cause I have full synthetic in there for sure now....but having an answer to this would have answered some questions about starting in the cold, better protection mabe a bit more power & better fuel economy.....

Comments are appreciated.

Your good bro. Synthetic is a better oil.

Ya I figured. Synthetic seems to be the best way to go.

Thanks

How long should you let your car run if its running synthetic? Shouldn't you let your car run for a bit with any type of oil ?

not sure what you mean by the question.
