intake...
i was wondering the samething..but i think it depends on what type of intake. drop in or a full intake. IMpretty sure a full intake like AMS wiould require a tune..but im thinking about the K&N. not sure about that needing a tune.
a full intake will need a tune i was talking to AMS about it today, in their thread about the send in your ECU I started to talk about ti, they said it would make hte car too lean, and would need to be reflashed. i asked them that when i send in my ecu for the tune if they can do the tune and the reflash for the intake they said yep.
Yeah I called them and they told me the same.
CP-E is working on an intake as well which should be done in the next week or so. They are also working on a battery kit as well to free up space for a better intake.

I was juss thinking the same thing man...I talked to AMS as well and they said its needed.. but I don't know if that goes for all intake out there..I just want like a K&N or something. Having to flash my ecu sounds like alot of hassle, plus I only have 1 car to commute to work so its going to be difficult...

Well on their website (CP-E ) they talk about accurate fuel trims and stock MAF housing. They have done intakes for the MS3 and MS6 and they dont need a tune. There are some dynos on their website too. I would always say that to get the absolute most out of it you certainly need a tune but if done correctly you can design an intake that flows better without having to retune, but im no expert. I certainly believe we need some wideband logging to ensure proper AFR.
