Weird Noise from my Car *Updated with a video*

So today when I got home and left the car, I heard a weird "clicking" noise almost like a rattle from the rear portion. Any idea what it is? Its about -4C right now if that has to do with anything. Any ideas?

So here's the video clip of the noise:

It's most likely your exaust system cooling is causing it, if there is any moisture then that would add to it. It's the thermal expansion and contraction of the materials. I have heard it on my RA and my wife asked me the same question. I am pretty sure there is no harm. I have heard the same thing on other cars as well. In small gas engines it's more pronounced like lawn mowers and snowmobiles. I assure you the designers/engineers counted on it. It might be the cooling of other components but I think I tracked it down to the exaust.

You mean the noise every car makes when it shuts down?
Kind of sounds like a bunch of rain drops or a dripping faucet for about a few minutes?

Maybe?

yeah, Mine varies a bit though. Sometimes there is a lot of noise other times not so much. I wonder if has something to do with weather, combined with how hard I run it. It never sounds bad though. Remember we have really big mufflers (bigger than any car I have ever owned) and twin outputs. I really think it's nothing to worry about.

That could possibly it, I guess I'll try to get a sound clip tonight. And if others who notice this similar noise do as well, we can compare?

if its exhaust components, it comes from the bolted flanges and espacially overlaping tubes that have been welded together.

I've had this on both my cars. I was always of the understanding that it's just the car cooling down.

The oem exhaust system clicks for hours after I've driven the car.

No need to take it in. It's a fairly normal event.
