Allright, here are some pics. Before anyone gets all anti on me, these are prototype parts, so they don't exactly look like production. Don't worry about the blue couplers, etc. PROTOTYPE testing only!

Here's the Synchronic BOV installed in the RA in bone stock configuration, simply replacing the stock DV. You can't hear it much with the stock airbox, but it is more audible than stock.

Here's the full piping kit with an intake and air filter.

Close shot of the intake

Close shot of the Synchronic BOV

Prototype muffler that we used for testing's sake.

Full 3" exhaust from turbo casting on back

We put the car back to stock and I've been wracking my brain all morning trying to figure out why the car will only make 9 psi of boost. I kept checking everything, even thought that the stock BCS must've said adios. Until I thought about the restrictor pill that is usually installed OEM. Voila! Here lies the culprit. It is installed in the hose after the Tee piece between the Tee and the wastegate actuator. This might be the demon behind boost spiking. I'm going to do some more tests to elminate this as a potential issue. BTW, when you are installing your Synchronic BOV, you want to make sure that you pick up your boost-only source before this restrictor pill.

^ i have no idea what they are talking about..... can you show a pic of it with the engine? removing that, you really need to tune the car right? or does it just free up some boost?

The exhaust looks like it has quite a few bends in that pic up there, but here's the part on the ground. As you can see, there aren't that many bends, especially on the downpipe.

Sorry for the vid quality actually. It is supposed to be widescreen and Youtube crunched it down. I'm having some technical issues. I don't know if the video communicates it, but the car is quite fast with these mods. That transmission is awesome! I drove that car 2 hours to return it and was loving life. I was already getting withdrawal symptoms, especially since I had to drive a FWD Toyota matrix on the way back.

With just those mods, it was way more fun to drive than a 5 spd Evo X.

Jon, you can buy the same BOV now that is sold for the 8, 9 and X and it will bolt right up to all of the factory piping. The great thing about this is that you can upgrade in stages. When you are ready for the piping, the same BOV that you already spent money on will bolt right up.

A little update for everyone that wants to see this car in action.

Dsport will be running laps with the car at the end of the month at the Redline Time Attack event at Buttonwillow.
