I dont think its worth it to brake launch. I would just go with just stepping on it. Let us know how it goes and good luck.

brake launch!! get it up to 3k then let go of brake and floor it! it doesnt really kick the tranny, the clutch still takes a bit to get it rolling. try both ways and see whats better. dont go higher than 3k for more then 2 sec cause then the car wont go for a couple of secs after.

Check and see what the Evo X MR guys are doing. With the clutch system on your trans, brake launching seems like a really, really bad idea. It's not like an auto trans where a torque converter will allow the engine to rev a bit while the trans sits still.

This is what a warranty is for. If it can't take it, you and mitsu get to find out.

^ I've heard horror stories of Mitsu warranties being voided because of "owner abuse"...up to him if he wants to risk it though!

I say just floor it when the last yellow light on the tree (assuming the tree is being used!) lights up, maybe even one earlier since RA's launch slow as eff - maybe that'll compensate for slow launches

You should defiantly post up some time slips when you get back too!

Edit:
Wait, track track, or drag strip? lol - I get easily confused when people cross the two. If you mean track track, then ignore my thing about the light tree.

Power-braking = power-breaking with the SST, at least in the long run.

Make sure you turn off ASC and turn it to sports. I would just floor the gas pedal.
It already kinda stalls up to 2500 rpms. Maybe do one run after with the brakes to see if you can launch it higher.

I really just want to see the 60' times and 1/8th mph.

60 times is supposedly 5.9 for us. But again that's "super uber pro" driver from a Car Magazine
