Nav and Rear Camera question

I was just looking around when I noticed there was a rear camera kit for the EvoX and by its description, would work for the Ralliart but required the Nav kit installed. Remembering the unit and install kit was about $2,500 I glanced at the parts to see price of the Navigation Kit was less than $1,000 at Mitsubishiparts.net . With the price of the camera, satnav and install kits it would cost me a tad over $1,700 not including shipping of about $208. They are out of stock so I hope they didn't drop the price just to get rid of them.

The question is, am I missing something? Would it be difficult to run the lines for the camera? I remember seeing a tread of someone installing the Nav and wonder if its as easy as it seems. These are all Mitsubishi parts right?

You can get your own camera, and hook it up to the back of the nav screen for way cheaper than this....and there is a thread on here that has the instructions step by step, and pic by pic on how to do it...

But I kind of like the factory look of non-third party parts. Just wish there was a pic of it.

That part number has been discontinued by Mitsubishi. I have yet to obtain the updated part number for the Lancer Navigation Unit though. I have the new one for the X, but I had to call MMNA to get it.

For some time, the backup camera has been listed in Mitsubishi Canada literature as an upcoming option for the 2009 Lancer Ralliart. I would expect that there will be a package price for those of us with the Nav installed.

By the way, I agree with you that Mitsubishi parts almost always fit and look better than aftermarket -- if you're going to destroy the look of your Ralliart, then show some self-respect and do some impressive mechanical or performance mods instead. Don't trash your car for the sake of nav systems or backup cameras.

Rear View camera wiring

I need to adapt the factory wiring cable (MZ607384EX) to my aftermarket rear view camera. My camera has a red, black (I believe these are ground & power) and a Yellow video RCA jack (female). The factory cable has 4 wires, Red, white, clear & blue.

Does anyone know the correct connections?
