Find of the year!!!
I think 12' s is possible, i ran 14.1
This is funny cause I was talking about this earlier and was wondering if the engine componets were actually capable of swapping or for that matter using Evo X specific engine aftermarket parts. This is really good news.
also... works has 4B11 engines available in 2.0L (road racing), 2.2L (rally racing) and 2.3L (urban street racing)
not that anyone is going buy a new engine right now, but if anything happens in the future, or if you have lots of money to spend there are some options.

Well, 12's could be possible. We need around 105mph trap speeds. That's about 310-320whp...Thats for 3500lbs...to get to 12's.
We don't have launch control so we aren't going to get some sick 60's like evo's.
I'm getting excited on the max output on the stock turbo.
Someone drop in some EVO cams to see how much more airflow we get.
I'm not trying to make over 400whp right now. A stock EVO X turbo will do fine...If it works for the MR it'll work on the RA just fine. Plus, it's cheaper than a brand new upgrade. And who knows if people are going to modify the stock turbo or not. If so, I'll have the right manifold to use.

There more I read results from tuning houses, the more it's obvious how unfounded all the talk of weak SSTs are. No one has blown one yet due to high power output. And there are a few guys out in singapore who claim to have over 400whp. The "torque protection" only appears to have been a bi-product of poor tunes, and certain piggybacks.
Also keep in mind that Getrag rates the SST at 350hp - which means that it has to be abe to handle that power reliably. Does that mean it can't handle more? Nope

I just see it as this... Until we start to see the SST's blow out there no limit to what these cars can do. After we see a couple and not just one blow out then yes we can say ok these can handle XXX hp and until then there really is nothing to say these are not better then stick
AMS sells Evo X turbos for $995 and FP reds for $1399. A stock X turbo is plenty for me, and my SST. I know the downpipes are identical on both cars, but what about the manifolds? What about the RA injectors? I'm getting excited thinking about how little we may have to buy to get it working properly.
